MASKARAS, THE SUMMER CARNIVAL OF MURAVERA.
Maskaras is a Carnival different from the usual, where Mamuthones parade. These are dark, tragic masks, that perform their ritual dances, moving with cadence steps, and the creepy sound of heavy bells of different sizes, in a long parade that retraces the main street of Muravera, evoking the propitiatory rites linked to life and the fields
A UNIQUE SHOW
A spectacular event that shows the authenticity of Sardinia and its agro-pastoral rites.
Many groups of masks parade on the main street of Muravera, especially from the center of Sardinia: Mamuthones and Issohadores from Mamoiada , Boes e Merdules from Ottana, i Sos Thurpos from Orotelli, i Sos Tamburinos from Gavoi, I Su Bundu from Orani and many others.FIND OUT MORE VIDEO

We stayed for 3 nights in one of the Villas. From day one people were incredibly welcome. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, kitchen utensils, towels, sheets. The location is really quiet and the beach is immediately across the street. I highly recommend it!
