An unmissable event that marks the beginning of the tourist season in the Territory of Sarrabus: it is an important showcase for all citrus fruit and local products.
It takes place every year at the beginning of April.
The wonderful costumes, rich in colours, of precious fabrics handmade, adorned with jewels made with the technique of filigree, showing up themselves in the streets of Muravera that will be decorated with multi-coloured carpets and tapestries for the occasion.
The days of the festival include a large parade of folk groups from all over Sardinia for the main street of the town.DISCOVER MORE VIDEO
THREE DAYS OF CELEBRATION
During that parade, the Etnotraccas and the traccas, oxcarts, reproduce the environments of the agro-pastoral life of the past.
In the evening, the folk groups will dance accompanied by the sound of the launeddas, typical Sardinian wind-instrument, and the day ends with the awards for the folk groups, the dances and a big party in the main square of the Muravera.
During the three days there will be many events such as conferences, exhibitions, and museums visits, competition of murals, tastings of typical products and folk music shows.
And again… the masks of the Barbagia, Mamuthones parades.

We stayed for 3 nights in one of the Villas. From day one people were incredibly welcome. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, kitchen utensils, towels, sheets. The location is really quiet and the beach is immediately across the street. I highly recommend it!
